All our boilies are hand-made on site, ensuring consistency and quality: we will not sub-contract out the rolling of our bait so you can be sure you are getting the same product each time you order (please note there are sometimes seasonal variations in the content of fishmeals). We source our ingredients very carefully and ensure that our ingredients are used very quickly, this means you are getting the freshest baits that we can possibly make. We do not stock-pile ingredients or frozen bait preferring to make sure you receive the freshest and best quality boilies we can make.

Our field-testers and advisors have over 150 years of carp angling experience between them and you can rest assured that every bait we sell has been thoroughly tested on a number of lakes both home and abroad for a number of years before we decided to sell them to the public. The proprietor of the company Ian Wootton, has been angling for over 30 years and has been making bait for over 20 years. Ian doesn’t get to fish as much as he would like anymore simply because he is too busy rolling bait: however his catches from both home and abroad have been exceptional. Ian’s fishing now tends to be conducted in France and he helps run guided trips to lakes in the central area of France. Our field-testers and advisors include Nick Smith who has over 25 years experience of carp fishing and bait-making and whose big-fish captures from the county’s waters are exceptional: Nick has taken 35 lb plus fish from 2 different Cornish waters, held the Cornish record for a number of years and seems to have the ‘knack’ of catching the biggest fish from the lakes he targets. We are lucky to have Dave Step (AKA Gert Louster) as an advisor to the company: Dave has been carp fishing for 30 years and has taken 35 lb plus fish from 2 Cornish waters. Gert was also the County Record holder for a number of years and brings with him a vast amount of bait-making experience and scientific knowledge which is invaluable to our business. We also have a number of other anglers who test baits for us: these include Ian Penrose who has 25 years carp fishing experience and very big fish from home and abroad to his credit, including captures from Salagou and The Orient.
During 2009 we enlisted two new testers to the company: Tim Surridge and Richard Harman. Since joining us Tim has had an exceptional 12 months taking fish to over 50lb from French waters and 30lb plus fish from waters in the South West. Tim has used the Special Occy and contributed to the development of the BQ to capture some terrific fish, some of which you will be able to see in the gallery. Rich is a dedicated young angler who has used our baits to catch a number of excellent fish from waters across Devon. He catches consistently and is a dab hand on the local carp match circuit.
