The BQ

3 Years in development and tested on a variety of waters across the South West, the BQ is the long anticipated addition to our range of high quality baits. After initial development and use by Ian and Nick in 2006/07 a small selection of our field-testers were chosen to test and help develop the bait on a number of contrasting waters in Devon & Cornwall. After extensive use, feedback from our testers and subsequent ‘tweaks’, we released the BQ on 1st March 2010. Results for those deciding to use the BQ have been excellent and have even taken us by surprise. There have been some truly outstanding results from low-stocked waters to heavily pressured lakes across the South West and further afield.

The bait has a broad range of ingredients giving a balanced amino profile and, with an excellent (and friendly) attractor combination the BQ lends itself to long-term baiting or short session fishing. As usual, with all our baits, the BQ is designed to meet the nutritional needs of carp and has excellent pulling power. The bait has been designed to release food signals very quickly through the inclusion of 2 liquid food sources and, with the addition of a couple of certain powdered ingredients, continues to do this throughout the breakdown process.

Special Occasion Mix

We originally created this bait for a visit to Redmire Pool. We wanted a bait with an excellent nutritional profile as well one that would prove to be immediately attractive to our quarry. So we played around with our standard fishmeal mix and the result was a boilie which is just a bit ‘special’. The Special Occasion Mix has proved itself for those customers who use it as part of a baiting programme or for those visiting a lake for a one-off session and need an ‘instant’ winner. Time and time again this bait has produced big fish from a range of lakes, reservoirs and pits across the South West, Belgium, France and Spain. The bait has since been responsible for the capture of numerous 30 lb plus fish from the South West, 40 lb plus fish from pressured Southern waters and fish to over 70lb from French waters. We have had so many reports of anglers catching new personal bests on the Special Occy that we have literally lost track of the amount of quality carp this bait catches. The Special Occy continues to be our best selling bait and keeps on catching for our customers. Technical: A red fishmeal boilie including quality, low temp and pre-digested fishmeals, milk proteins, cereal products, kelp, robin red and a couple of extras! The bait has a low-level fishy flavour and is winterised for use from October through to March.

The Yellow Seed Mix

We had been using a similar seed mix for over 15 years in the winter months with great success on a number of waters. The bait was designed for winter use but reports from our customers rate this boilie as a superb year round bait. The attractor combination on the Yellow Seed Mix is delicious… you will find it as attractive as the carp do! One of our fieldtesters has been known to keep visiting his freezer for a sniff. This boilie is designed to be an instant ‘bait’, it passes through the carp quickly even in low water temperatures enabling you to keep putting the bait in. Technical: A ‘brown’ (Nick calls it yellow, but we need to be honest for trade description purposes!) birdseed bait with a strong, sweet, fruity smell. The bait includes red factor, nectarblend, CLO, milks, cereals and a few extras.

The Red Seed Mix

A 'classic' bait, one of the first boilies that we made over 25 years ago - although it has evolved, with the addition of more advanced ingredients during this period. A red, spicy, birdfood boilie, which has grown in reputation and popularity amongst our customers. An all-season bait for those anglers wishing to use a boilie that will stand out from the rest. The results on the Red Seed Mix have been excellent for years and we recommend that you try this out on waters that have been hammered with fishmeals. Responsible for an obscene amount of large carp from our local club waters this boilie is an instant winner but responds even better over a period of time. Technical: Red factor, nectarblend, CLO, milks, cereals, liver powder and robin red. Spicy flavour.

The Evil-R

Concerns over the availability and rising cost of fishmeals led to the development of this bait. We were looking to create a boiled bait that was out of the ordinary and used ingredients that many shop bought baits did not include. We came under pressure to release this earlier than we would like because those that had seen the bait and smelt it could see that it offered something different. Nick took the Evil-R to Redmire for a January session and caught a cracking 22lb common as well as a couple of back-up fish. The bait has been used on a number of waters in the South West and it seems to produce fish that have become ‘bait shy’. The Evil-R is ideal for anglers wishing to use something different from the rest and can be used all year round with total confidence. Technical: Meat meals, blood powder, milks, birdfoods, cereals, liver powder, robin red, kelp and oyster shell. Mellow, meaty flavour.

The Switch Mix

A blend of our fishmeal and seed mix which is designed for all-season use. The Switch Mix is the one to choose if you want to continue baiting all year round and are concerned about the use of high levels of fishmeal in winter. This bait lends itself to being customised with an attractor combination of your choice. Our testers have done well using this bait with a spice flavour and with a plum and black pepper combination. We sell it to our customers with the spice flavour as standard. We can make this bait in a ‘red’ or ‘yellow’ version. Technical: Quality, low temp & pre-digested fishmeals, birdfoods, milks, cereals, liver, kelp etc.

Hookbaits

We can provide hookbaits designed to match your chosen mix. We include a tub of hardened bottom-baits as standard with each 10 kilos you purchase. All of our hookbaits are made to stay hard and intact for up to 48 hours in the water. If, additionally, you require wafters or pop-ups we can supply these in 14mm or 18mm .
Price: £4.50 per tub (approx 50 baits per tub)

Bespoke Rolling Service

The range of baits we currently offer can be customised to your requirements, although we suggest you try them just as they are. If you require your own label or attractor package then we are able to offer this service although there may be a surcharge if the attractors you require are not part of our current portfolio.
